When I just stop and take a moment to observe and reflect on the beauty of this world, I can’t help but stumble back in awe. This massive and expansive universe created as a perfect and balanced system by Allah, subhanahu wa ta3ala. The distant sun, a massive burning star, shines so bright. The way the moon reflects it’s radiant glow. The way the clouds shade the surface of this green and blue earth. And all that the sky is over. The trees, the plants, the animals, the lakes and the oceans.

In such a state of reflection I can’t help but turn my attention to our society and the movement of people. All the things that we have and all the things we do. I remember the past. I remember where this all came from. I remember the beginning and the important events in between. The way the pieces of this great puzzle all fit perfectly together. A perfection that is well beyond our intellectual capacity to fully comprehend.

I think about Islam and us Muslims. I remember our beloved Prophet, salAllahu 3alayhi wasalam. I remember all the man he was and all the things he did. And I can’t help but wonder what it would have been to stand where he was. I remember all the sacrifices he and his early followers made. So that final beautiful seed could be planted fourteen hundred years ago.

It breaks my heart when I reflect on the current state of humanity. It’s painful to realise how lost we really are. And it’s not just our ummah that is in peril. But the whole of our human race is stumbling in a darkness. So many of this world live in ignorance. So much in this world has been influenced by evil. The norms of our global society, corrupted, are further degraded day by day.

There is so much around us to remind ourselves of the reality. There are so many signs for us to see.
